Tuna Melt

This is how you make the very best tuna melt sandwiches! Lots of cheese and toasty bread!


Preparation time – 20 minutes

Cook time – 10 minutes


Take a big bowl and add celery, parsley, onion, vinegar, mayonnaise, tuna, pepper and salt. Mix it.


Prepare baking sheet and place rye bread on it. Broil it for 1 minute in the preheated oven. Bread slices will be dry an toasted. Place tuna salad over the bread, then add cheese slice with tomato. Finish it by adding more cheese slices.


Place baking dish back in the preheated oven and broil it for 5 minutes.

  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna (drained)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 slices seedless rye bread
  • 8 slices ripe tomato
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
