Banana Bread

This is a fun and old recipe that was popularized back in 1930’s america. This bread is very delicious, almost like a cake.

Instructions

Preparation time – 25 minutes 

Cook time – 70 minutes

1)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (160 C). You will need to grease four 7×3 inch loaf pans. Take a bowl and mix cinnamon with 1/4 cup sugar. Dust greased loaf pans with this mixture.

Take a bowl and mix 3 cups sugar with butter until it is creamy, then add mashed bananas, eggs, sour cream, cinnamon and vanilla and mix it well. Then add baking soda, salt and flour. Pour batter in 4 loaf pans.

Bake for 70 minutes. Use toothpick trick to see if it is baked.

  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 very ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
